Abstract

Throughout history, cities have suffered from devastating pandemics, and today we are affected by a new pandemic, Corona (COVID-19), a global pandemic that has hit cities and made the built structure face great challenges. The Corona pandemic has also prompted countries around the world to implement social distancing measures to limit the spread of the pandemic, causing many major and sudden disruptions in daily life. 
  From the above, the emergence of any new epidemic in the future needs to be prepared for cities by assessing their urban form to prevent or reduce the transmission of infectious diseases during epidemics. 
    This study attempts to review the current strategies for responding to epidemics through crisis management to develop a resilient urban form of the epidemic in the stages of (response, mitigation and preparedness), and in the light of this review, the effectiveness of these strategies in cities after the Corona pandemic crisis will be assessed.
